As expected, the weather becomes significantly warmer as one approaches the equator (0 Deg. Latitude). More interestingly, however, is the fact that the southern hemisphere tends to be warmer this time of the year than the northern hemisphere. This may be due to the tilt of the earth at the time of the year this data was gathered.
In the Northern Hemisphere there is a positive correlation toward higher latitude and lower temperatures, which means that there is a moderate high correlation between both parameters. On the other hand, in the southern Hemisphere there is a positive correlation toward higher latitude and higher temperatures, which means that there is a high correlation between both parameters.
